Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Update
Dual Language Parent Info Night
Thursday Feb. 23rd at 5:00 PM in the BVM Cafeteria
The focus of the parent info night is to provide parents with an overview of what the DLI program is. Attendees will have a chance to meet the DLI teachers, receive the application and sign up for the DLI Incoming Test.
DLI Incoming Test
Tuesday Feb. 28th at 3:30 PM in Room 501
Participating students will test to determine their proficiency levels in Spanish. They will be tested on their Spanish writing, reading, and speaking skills.
Language Arts and Math Testing
Language Arts and Math testing will begin shortly. Please refer to the testing calendar and modified bell schedule below:

Block Schedule
We are currently following a Block Schedule to accommodate Performance Task Testing.
Performance Task Block Schedule
BVM Performance Task Testing Schedule will be in effect beginning the week of Monday, March 16, 2015.
Students will attend Periods 1, 3 and 5 on Monday and Wednesday; Periods 2, 4 and 6 on Tuesday and Thursday. Students will be released at the normal time (3:10) on Block Schedule days.
Friday will be a regular Minimum Day Schedule with a normal 12:50 release time.

Smarter Balanced is a state-led consortium developing assessments aligned to the Common Core State Standards in English language arts/literacy and mathematics that are designed to help prepare all students to graduate high school college- and career-ready.
